Well, we have been open for three weeks now. Time sure flies. Week one was crazy. We did not advertise our opening. We went for a 'soft opening'. WE wanted to make sure everyone was ready to handle a busy night. So much for that. We opened the doors on Sunday August 31st and before we could take a breat we were full. Talk about crazy. We survived that night and during the next week as well, but then came our first weeked. (still no advertising til this point). So the first weekend came ad it was was unbelievable. The dining room was full from 6-8 (48 seats). Take-out was hopping. Unfortunately we were not ready and service was slow and mistakes were made. On the bright side, the servers were smiling, friendly and enthusiastic. The food was hot and tasty. We apologized when necessary and asked for patience since we had just opened and for all of us this is our first restaurant. Lessons were learned.
The second weekend was better and this past weekend went great. We have had some complaints. We have had many, many compliments! Everyone says they love the food. They love the decor. They love the staff.
I do not personally work at the restaurant very often. When I do I answer the phone, take orders, process checks, pour water, talk to the customers and try not to get in the way.
The construction took forever, was very stressful and was way over budget. But after spending a few days working there I now know it will be worth it.
Come check it out and don't hesitate to tell us how we can improve.
